Grad Shoot

We have been talking abt it since last year. Gramms have been very excited abt it and it all culminated on 05/04/09 at Gloria Photo Studio

This studio is situated at 12A North Canal Road (opp OCBC building) Kathy and I had met up with resident photographer Mr Heng a couple of weeks back. He is a polite and nice chap. he gave me the impression that he is very meticulous and precise abt his photos. After the brief session with him, I knew we made the right choice

Then the day came and I prayed that nothing's gonna screw up. Glad it didn't

Chest, Von and ZQ were the 1st to reach. Surprised they managed to find the place

Me, Kat and Mum made our way from people's park centre (abt 5 mins away)

When we reached, We saw Susan and Gramms driving in. Good timing you would think, but no, Von, ZQ and Chest were nowhere to be found. They went off for a meal. OMFG. We are already late and they went to eat!? Wassup with that?

Anyway we went up 1st and I helped grandma up, urging her to slowly climb the stairs and not rush. They met Mr Heng and Grandpa instantly struck a chord with him

They were all amazed by all the famous people that come to this studio for their services. Just to name a few - Tay Ping Hui, Abdullah Tarmugi, DF-Billy, Lee Wei Song, Lee Si Song...

Thereafter, Von, ZQ and Chest reached

Good that all have reached. No time wasted, Me and Kat put on the gear. Everybody else just freshened up. Grandpa looks damn GOOD in a suit. I have never seen Chester in a suit as well. They look dashing. Mum and Von made up and ZQ put on a suit as well

Mr Heng has another appointment at 5pm. Not wanting to waste more time (already past 4 by then), we got down to business. I went in 1st for the individual shots. The props were so surreal. Very professional and I enjoyed the shots very much. Mr Heng was very patient and encoruaging pertaining to my retarded facial and rigid bodily reactions (ok I overdid that, but still he made very relaxed and at ease)

I was done and out I came. They were still prepping.

Next it was time for La Familia. Background and Prop change. We got into our positions and it took a while to arrange us accordingly. Mr Heng took like 20+ shots with lotsa adjustments here and there (tilt your head, shoulders too high, body slanted, smile more, look up, down, left, right, lean forward etc) Nobody was spared from the adjustments and we were momentarily placed in a paradigm of emotional distress, nah... But it has been great fun. Truly a feeling of unity and harmony. Pity Dad wasn't here o/w the pic would have been so much sweeter (I know most of us feel that way) God bless and heal him soon =)

Once we are done, we went out for some candid shots and Susan decided to do one too in regalia upon the urging of Gramms

Enjoy the pictures...

Mr Heng informs that the samples will be ready for collection on 09/04/09. Hope they turn out well. But I have great faith in Mr Heng and his 40 years of photography experience

After we are done, we parted ways. Von and ZQ went off to get some pressies. Susan and Gramms went home for dinner. Me, Kat and Chest met up with Kat's family at Bugis and had dinner at a steamboat place. Cold weather + Steamboat + Great Company = VERI-GOODe

Gotta organize another outing and get ALL to go

More pics soon on 16/04/09 during the convocation!
